Please Help Donna-Louise and Her Family

I never imagined we would need to create a fundraising page, but unfortunately, we feel we have no choice.

My mum, Donna-Louise Dohi, was urgently transferred from Westport to Christchurch and is currently in an induced coma in the ICU. She is battling bilateral pneumonia and sepsis, along with emphysema. Her medical team has placed her in a coma to give her body the best possible chance to fight this serious illness.

Donna is well known and loved in the Westport community. Alongside her husband, Shoi, she runs Nippilicious Sushi shop,which is their family’s main source of income. With Donna so unwell, they have had to temporarily close the shop, as it simply cannot operate without her.

Donna has always done her best to give back to the community. Over the years, she has generously donated food to people in need and supported others whenever she could. Now, our family is asking for support for her.

The financial impact of this situation is already significant and may put their home, livelihood, and business at risk. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to our family and help cover the costs associated with Donna’s illness and the closure of the shop.
