Help Dutchys Burger Joint while they recover from losing their biz in terrifying crash that wrote off the food truck and tow vehicle

Sunday afternoon Rutger and our 12 yo daughter Kaia were travelling home from an event up north. As they came into Taihape a gust of wind pushed the trailer into an unrecoverable fishtail, the trailer got out of control and the truck flipped. Both are a total write off.

We’ve lost everything except what’s most important, Rutger and Kaia walked away without any injuries and thankfully no other cars were involved.

SO terrifying.

We have a busy summer season coming up and we don’t know what’s going to happen.

This givealittle is for anyone who would like to help us back on our feet. We have insurance but we don’t know how long it will take and in the meantime we have no income.

Hi everyone, we've been laying very low and taking a bit of a break from reality while our family has been over from Holland for the xmas holidays. It's been so good to have them here over this time <3 The givealittle is closed now and we are so so so grateful for every contribution it is mindblowing the support we've received. We'll never ever forget it, seriously legends all of you. Some of the $$ raised will go to our crew who are on a bit of a break while we figure out what's next and the rest will help us get by while we wait for insurance and any extra will go towards the next iteration of the biz.

We are not used to taking so much help and love from so many and our hearts have exploded so many times since the accident. Every time we open our email we can't believe the generosity and kindness of all your messages. We're feeling so looked after by our community.

We don't know where or what Dutchy's will look like next but you've allowed us the space to figure it out - you've helped us heaps, thank you so much x
