Hi and thanks for reading. This page is for fundraising for our Emily.

Emily is a young child who has already experienced severe trauma in her life through physical assaults at school and incessant bullying. Emily used to be a happy outgoing child, now she is withdrawn. Emily is suffering from ongoing physical symptoms and psychological stress that no child should have to endure.

Emily struggles greatly with learning due to the impact of her experiences, and her current educational setup is not sustainable for her. She needs to be in a calm learning environment, where her teachers are kind, focused and in tune with her complex needs. She would love dearly to attend a special school in her city until graduation in 7 years where not only are her educational needs attended to, but her mental health and wellbeing is recognized as just as important. Sadly this costs a lot as the school is not state funded and Emily will need funding for transport to/from the school. The MOE has been no help in finding another mainstream school that suit's Emily's specific needs and it has been heartbreaking for us, her family, to watch Emily struggle.

Hi everyone, thank you so much to those who have donated so far, it means a lot to us, bless you all.

The situation for Emily sadly hasn't changed for the better so far, this campaign has been particularly difficult to get off the ground because we have no one who can share it and our social media reach is severely limited due to fear of repercussions from abusers. After the physical and mental abuse Emily suffered, she has been too scared to do much of anything for quite some time so she is still isolated seemingly by choice, but the reality is that trauma isolates kids and their families.

Please can you share this campaign far and wide and encourage others to share it, in the hopes that it will reach a wider audience who may be able to help. I understand there are so many good causes and it's hard to donate to them all. I just hope there are people out there who can spare it that will help Emily. She is innocent, she is struggling and support is scarce for her.
