Helping Pearly with paying these unexpected vet bills

Manawatu / Whanganui

A lot of people in the community will know her well, she was a volunteer for the Here 2 Help (formally Helping Hands) page for a long time, heart of gold, always ready to help out anyone in need.

On the 5th of November a lady was walking three large Huskies on retractable leads and they attacked Pearly's pregnant cat Nugget on her property. Once the first dog attacked the other three went into a frenzy and Pearly had to wrestle the poor kitty from the dogs, sustaining deep puncture wounds and scratches that required medical attention.

Nugget was badly injured and went into shock, and ended up going into premature labour. The kittens aren't expected to survive at this stage. She needs further surgery to remove the dead kitten still inside her, and all of these bills have already passed the $1000 mark. The owner of the dogs refuses to take responsibility and assist with these costs so any help at all is so appreciated!!
