Fred has been recovering nicely at home next to the fire with lots of couch snuggles ❤️ All going well he will heal and take it easy and be back to his normal self in no time. I just want to say a big thanks again to everyone’s generosity with your donations. It’s so warming to know there are so many of you that are so kind and caring and even though this page wasn’t asked for by Freddie’s parents it’s a way to show we are here to support them and do what we can to take off some $$ stress - even though as a family we rally together to support always, it’s the kindness of friends and strangers that really have amazed me 💕💕

  • Road to recovery

Sorry it’s been a while in between updates! Freddy had his hip surgery last week and all went well but it means six weeks of crate life and so far of course he’s not loving life but it’s for the best. We spent Matariki dinner with him giving him lots of snuggles and reassurance. He is now a $10000 dog but the end result isn’t long term effects so it’s all worth it to know we get him for longer and he will recover and be okay - not the same of cause #trauma but we hope he thinks twice before chasing those damn hares again! Thanks again to everyone for their support and care and checking in. Helps a lot during these full on times!

Fred has had the all clear to go home to rest and recover. We are all over the moon but especially his mama and papa and brother Roger and Goat sister June ❤️ Spot the piece of his tongue missing poor guy, lots of pain meds and rest for him until his next surgery but we are all over the moon that he’s on the up! Thanks again for everyone’s love and care. It means more then you all will ever know ❤️❤️

  • We have a fighter

      15 June 2022

Fred is doing really well today. He had his jaw wired back together yesterday and his sinuses all cleaned out - his frontal skull is all smashed but miraculously there is no internal brain damage. He has come out of that surgery really well aswell. Today he is more alert and may even attempt some food. If okay tomorrow he will be able to come home until his next surgery which will be a hip replacement. It’s a long road for Fred but he’s obviously a fighter because we are all behind him. We’ve been overwhelmed with all the love and donations. We really don’t no how to say thank you. It’s always hard to ask for help especially when people assume others financial situations etc. you just never know what others may be going through. So be kind 💕

We will hopefully have some photos of Fred tomorrow to update you all ❤️

  • The waiting game..

      14 June 2022

Freddy was taken to the emergency vets in record time yesterday evening by my dad (his grandad), Rose & his Aunty Daisy. After being assessed by the vets they sent him through for Xrays & ultrasound. They have found some gnarly damage & Freddy has been given pain meds to help him get through. He made it through the night and is being kept there today to be assessed by a vet to get a plan on how to fix him & a CT scan. The CT scan cost is high but its worth it as fingers crossed there is nothing internally damaged. Rose & Cruise are at home trying to get some rest after a long night but as you can imagine its not easy. Come on Freddy you have got this my little man <3 we need you here, we need your cuddles & your doggo brother Roger & goat sister June need you to look out for them.
