We're raising funds to support Georgina & her young family after she heard the two words no woman wants to hear. Breast Cancer.
Auckland
Our wonderful friend, sister, wife, daughter and most importantly, Mum, Georgina, was given earth shattering news recently. After finding a small lump (and suspecting it was mastitis), she heard the two words no woman wants to hear. Breast cancer. This news is devastating for all that know her. Wife to Jason and Mum to Hudson (two) and Emmerson (six months), Georgina has an entire life full of memories to look forward to.
Anyone who knows Georgina personally, knows how selfless she is. For those who don’t, I could give you hundreds of examples of where she’s gone above and beyond for others. Every time, with a smile. Now it’s our turn to put her first.
Things have moved unbelievably quickly. Georgina found a pea size lump in her right breast in early March, was diagnosed on the 16th of March, had a mastectomy on the 7th of April and is now days away from chemo and radiation.
We want to make sure those that have the means and desire to help support this INCREDIBLE family can do so. George and Jason are not the type of people to ask for help. Especially financial. In fact I’ve begged to set up this page on multiple occasions only to be told ‘we’ll manage.’ But the truth is every little cost adds up. Emmi needs a full-time nanny while Georgina undergoes treatment and at $25 an hour, that’s just shy of $5k a month. It’s not pocket change.
As fiercely independent as they are, this is our time to really shine. We are her village and I’ve no doubt that whatever we can do to support this incredible whanau will change their lives.
Friend of the Robb Family
Childcare for Hudson and Emmi as well as any medication and treatment costs associated with chemo and radiation. Any surplus funds will be used however the Robb family see fit to support Georgina and the family moving forward.
A huge heartfelt thank you 24 May 2021
The last few weeks have been tough. With starting chemo, shaving my head and having some sniffley children in the house, it's made me release how quickly my life has changed. While the changes have been emotionally & physically draining and heartbreaking, there is one thing that has been consistent, Your support.
I really can't put into words how humbled and overwhelmed I am with the outpouring of love I've received. From people I know well, to people I've not seen for 10 years, to people & organizations I've never met.
'Thank you' will never come close to showing my gratitude for all of you. There are no words big enough to show how thankful my family is for your support.
I will continue to battle, to strive forward and make sure I bring my best self to this fight everyday and I can honestly say without you guys, I'm not sure that would be the case.
With love.
