Blessing needs your help to get him halfway across the world to Peru to compete in the World U20 Junior Championships.

Blessing Sefo is an Avondale local, who excels in shot put. The 18 year old has recently qualified to compete in Peru at the World U20 Junior Championships in his favoured shot put event. This is an opportunity of a lifetime, and we are excited to help in whatever way we can to get the big guy half way across the world to represent NZ. He has a humble character and always willing to lend a hand where ever he is needed.
Achievements to date:
NZSS Senior Boys Shot Gold & Senior Discus Bronze
College Sport Athletics Boy Winner
NZTF U20 Gold &u20 Discus Bronze (2023)
Added 2.5m to his shotput PB since March last year, including his ACL reconstruction in June 2023 and him working so hard and tirelessly to ensure he rehabilitated properly, went hard on his gym programme and technical training to get back in the circle by Dec 2023, 3 months ahead of schedule. Then hit the qualifying mark at Auckland senior champs

I have known Blessing since he was a young athlete at Avondale Athletics Club and have seen him grow and develop in the sport. I fully expect his athletics journey has only just begun and believe he is the future of shot put for NZ.
Use of funds
All money raised will go towards his Athletics NZ team expenses that include flights, accommodation, team gear and a pre-camp.
