Help Get Coromandel Jiu-Jitsu To The World Champs

Hi Everyone,

I am a team member at Coromandel BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu), based in Whangamata on the Coromandel.

The IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu World No-Gi Championships are being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from December 7th-9th - it has been a goal for our Professor to get to the world championships and qualified earlier this year to go to the 2023 world championships. As a result he has put together a team of 7 athletes that want to travel to Las Vegas to enter and need your help to get us there.

We are from a small beachside town and all have a passion for Jiu-Jitsu, it has been a life changing sport for all of us. We all feel it is important to represent and inspire our other teammates and people from our area, region and country. We are all working hard to make this goal happen as we want to be able to make it to Las Vegas to compete in the world championships.

Jiu-Jitsu is a self-funded sport in New Zealand. The whole teamwork and train full time and as a result we can't fund the whole team to get to the world championships and therefore seeking support.

We are asking for your help to help pay for flights and accommodation so we can focus on training to be able to represent and inspire our community to reach for their goals.

In the Coromandel we have had a tough time with cyclones, road closures having a big impact on daily life, people's businesses and people's finances and this is why we ask for your help and support.
