Hi Victoria,
Thank you so much for the detailed update it’s truly inspiring to see how much passion, talent, and preparation is going into Madeleine’s journey. The lineup of workshops, rehearsals, and training at the Globe Theatre is incredible, and it’s clear that this opportunity will shape her artistic growth in a powerful way.
To help raise the funds needed, I’m fully focused on promoting the campaign to reach a wider audience and increase visibility. I’m working on pushing the campaign across different platforms, engaging potential supporters, and encouraging more people to share the page so we can build momentum together. With consistent promotion and community support, I’m confident we can gather the funds Madeleine needs.
Thank you again for the wonderful information it really motivates me to push even harder on the promotional side.
Kind regards,
Lee

Hi there, I recently discovered your “Help Get Madeleine to the Globe!” campaign and I’m really inspired by it. Could you share a bit more about how the funds will be used and what the timeline looks like for her trip? I’d love to understand how supporters can make the most impact.
Victoria
Hi Lee, thank you for your message and fantastic to hear you've felt inspired by Madeleine’s page!
Madeleine was thrilled to be involved in the Shakespeare Globe Centre NZ festivals, where over 4,000 students participated this year. To be selected, along with 23 other young people, to represent NZ in the SGCNZ Young Shakespeare Company 2026 has been truly amazing.
The trip is planned for July next year with the group spending two weeks at the Globe Theatre, London. The current draft schedule is full of exciting training and workshops including :
• Understanding the Globe Theatre Spaces - Sarah Finagan
• Understanding the Context of Romeo and Juliet - Susan Vidler
• Introductory lecture to The Merry Wives of Windsor - Dr Hanh Bui
• Building and Understanding Character - Susan Vidler
• Finding the Magic in Verse - Scott Brooksbank
• Stage Combat - Maisie Carter
• Shakespeare and NZ Research - Dr Lydia Valentine
• Early Modern Music - Woody
• Movement (Kate Webster), Voice (Matthew Harrison James), and Text (Susan Vidler and Olivia Mace)
• Rehearsing their Shakespearean production under Director Hal Chamber
This all culminates in a performance on the hallowed boards of the Globe Theatre stage!
The funds raised will cover Madeleine's airfares, accommodation, insurance, and the workshop and course fees. Any financial support is greatly appreciated, and we’d love for this page to be shared widely.
Thank you again for your interest. Kindest regards, Victoria :)
