NZ Athlete seeks funding for Commonwealth Games Qualification events.
Auckland
Hi, I’m Cam McTaggart, a proud Olympic weightlifter representing New Zealand — and a medal hopeful for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
This year, I’ve been selected to compete at two major international events:
🇮🇳 The Commonwealth Championships in India from 24th-30th August
🇳🇴 The World Championships in Norway from 2nd-11th October
These are not just prestigious events — they’re official qualifying competitions for the 2026 Commonwealth Games, and a vital part of my journey toward the podium in Glasgow.
Why I Need Your Support
As a self-funded and self employed athlete, I’m working hard on and off the platform — but I can’t do this alone.
I need to raise $12,000 to be able to attend these events.
Why This Means So Much
After 14 years of dedication and hard work, I am honored to represent New Zealand in weightlifting on the world stage. This journey has been fueled by passion and perseverance, and I am proud to contribute to elevating our nation's presence in the sport. Your support not only helps me pursue my dreams but also helps future athletes chase their milestones without the financial burden.
Whether you’re able to give a little or a lot, every donation truly makes a difference — and if you can’t donate right now, I’d be so grateful if you could share this page with your friends, family, or on social media.
Thank you so much for your support!
