Life is full of challenges and obstacles, and what I appreciate in particular is the maturity of your response.

As such, I have gladly donated $20 towards your cause.

I hope you and your partner will continue through life with this unwavering conviction, and I wish you and your whanau all the best.

Waiora

Hi Ren,

Thank you so much for your donation and kind words, we truly appreciate it.

Kind regards,

Hi I'm not sure why you are expecting to be treated any differently to anyone else who wants to get ahead through study?

Student loans, scholarships, even iwi assistance - can you say you have exhausted all available options?

While I empathise with and appreciate what you're trying to achieve, fact of the matter is you are choosing to disadvantage yourself with your facial tattoo. Which is fine...but unlike someone with say a health issue outside of their control, yours is a CHOICE and it makes less sense to donate.

If this were for tattoo removal I would happily donate, but what you're asking is to be advantaged over another NZer simply because you CHOOSE to specifically identify yourself via your facial tattoo. While this is your right, understand that wearing such a prominent tattoo comes at a price, and if you are as strong in your conviction as you appear to be, you ALONE should bear that cost, not others.

Waiora

Hi Ren,

We really appreciate your input and we understand your stand point however the point of this particular website is that it is an online fundraising platform for ALL New Zealanders which means that ANYONE is entitled to fund raise for their own causes or charities. There are other causes on Givealittle identical to this one with individuals asking for support with their study costs aswell. We do not expect anyone to donate and we are very surprised anyone has at all and for that we are beyond thankful. We've basically just taken a shot in the dark and we hope to achieve a positive outcome from this regardless of whether we raise $1 or $100. But thank you for your support.

Kind regards,

This is an unfortunate stage of life not being able to get a job and three children. However, under the Labour Govt. your first year is FREE. As for other monies, I would suggest that you get some help from the gang as they are not short of a dollar. As other members are interested in following your workout programme, again, the gangs could support you and them financially.

All the best

Pam

Waiora

Hi Pam,

Thank you so much for your suggestion and support. We truly appreciate it.

Maybe give FeesFree grant a try, if he's never done level 3 in any education he may be eligible for a FeesFree grant.
