Kia ora everyone! Sorry long time no update! Give a little funds were released and Roland’s trip has been fully paid to the basketball club. The boys are really excited, as they will be leaving in just two months! Apologies for the delay in updating — it’s been a busy few months.
Recently, both boys competed in the First Nations Tournament and did really well. This weekend, they'll also be participating in a full basketball camp this Saturday and Sunday. After that, they will be training every Saturday until they leave on December 7th. It’s all systems go at the moment!
Thank you once again to everyone who made this possible for Roland. Countdown is on!
Lastly, I just found this out - Roland has never been overseas and this is his first international trip! It’s gonna be massive for both boys!

Blake and Roland have been lucky enough to get lots of work every Sunday and are close to half way - we have $350 cash to be deposited bringing us up to nearly half way. We have a couple more fundraisers in July (sausage sizzle and lotto drop) thank you all again for everything.
We were kindly donated a desk recently which we are selling also.

We have asked the people of Hillpark if the boys can help do work to earn more funds. As a result of the generosity of Hillpark residents we have secured work for the boys from 4 different locals! Honestly how cool is that?!
Both boys will be cleaning windows, cleaning bins, picking up leaves and reading to an international student on Sundays in exchange for donations to this page. If you are from Hillpark community or my work colleagues- can I just extend a huge thank you for helping Roland. He’s been smiling ear to ear - just having potential hope.
