Kia ora everyone! We arrived home after an exhausting but exhilarating two weeks. It was not quite with the result we were hoping for, but coming 4th place with two solid wins and two close games against the top teams is not a bad debut!

One thing's for sure, we made New Zealand history. This was the first time that the NZ U18 Women's team won any international game in their history. You can read about three of the girls on the team in this story from their local town paper that was picked up by national media: https://www.stuff.co.nz/timaru-herald/sport/131169074/young-kiwis-make-ice-hockey-history-in-bulgaria .

I would like to thank all of you for your support and well wishes on my first international tournament. I felt really proud to wear the NZ Black and White, but also to be playing Canada's national game. What a combo!

I just came home from a three day training camp with the team in Dunedin and was amazed at all the donations coming through. Thank you guys so much for all your support. We're almost up to $2000! This means so much to me. I'll keep working hard for you on the ice!
