Loving father of 3 young children diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma.

Manawatu / Whanganui

This is a love story.

It was love at first sight for Adam. Mel was in a relationship and years passed before she casually mentioned to Adam that she was now single. She told him that "you'll have to impress me if I go out to dinner with you" Adam of course took her to McDonald's.

Five years and two children later they were in Rarotonga getting married. Adam declared that they wanted everyone to come back with them again in five years time.

Another child completes their happy family.

Adam and Mel get mole maps. They discover that Adam has a melonoma on his shoulder and it is quickly treated.

In early 2018 Adam began having an unusual health issue and was seen by his doctor and a specialist but neither could find the cause.

August 2018, the family moves to Feilding as Adam gets promoted to his dream job.

In July this year Mel took Adam to the Emergency Department as he was really unwell. After weeks of uncertainty Adam and Mel get told the devastating news that he has stage 4 melonoma which has spread to his brain, lungs, hip and kidneys.

The news is a total shock and all their family, friends and colleagues are in disbelief that this is happening to such a loving, caring gentleman.

The future is uncertain for this beautiful family. We need your help to give this love story the happy ending that it deserves, sending the Youngs to Rarotonga.

Adam has finished radiotherapy and will be starting immunotherapy. He is unable to work at the moment. Mel is looking after Adam and the children.

Please donate to give the Young family memories that they will cherish.
