Help Grow Great New Zealanders

Sadly, many Kiwi Kids go to school hungry every day.

Some go to school with no breakfast, some go to school with no breakfast or lunch, and it's hard to learn on an empty stomach.

Many more kids have diets deficient in essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals essential for healthy growth and brain development.

What was needed was an affordable, healthy supplementary food that made up the nutritional deficiencies in the diets of Kiwi kids.

So, we invented the Amigo Bar.

The Amigo Bar is New Zealand's first healthy, five stars, supplementary food bar specifically formulated for children 4-14 years old containing all of the essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals to support healthy growth and brain development.

Every parent knows that when their children are hungry, they get "hangry".

We want to turn "hangry" faces into happy faces and grow great New Zealanders.

We want all New Zealanders to get behind and support the Amigo School Nutrition campaign and provide Amigo Bars for kids who go to school hungry.

Just $10 a week can provide enough Amigo Bars to turn one Hangry kid who struggles to learn into a happy kid, but we need your help to make this happen.

We have been overwhelmed with requests from schools who want Amigo Bars.

"We have a growing number of children who live in poverty, and come to school without adequate food to sustain them through the school day".

"We would appreciate 50 Amigo Bars a week as we have families who struggle to feed their children every day".

"I teach at a school with many high-risk kids, the majority of whom come to school having had no breakfast, or have any food for the day. The food sold at the school canteen is unhealthy".

It's time for all New Zealand Amigo's to band together and, look after the health and mental wellbeing of our children.
