Help! I’m transitioning and I need a new face!

My name is Josie and I’m transgender. I’ve been out for 1.5 years. In the process I’ve lost a lot of friends and family, gone through divorce, started a new career, all while generally trying to figure out who the heck I really am.

My face is a significant source of gender dysphoria for me. It has prominent masculine features, which makes looking at my face each morning a challenge as I embrace my authentic self.

I have been quoted $40,000 NZD for facial feminisation surgery to give me a face that matches my spirit.

I work incredibly hard, but with kids, debt and the cost of living, this incredibly necessary procedure is completely out of my reach financially.

So, here we are! I don’t have prizes or give aways, all I have is a deep need for something I cannot afford, and the courage to ask for it.
