Support for 6 year old boy Iraia Hardings family as he fights a life-threatening sepsis infection in hospital.
Rotorua, Bay Of Plenty
On the week of September 23, Roimata's youngest son Iraia (6) was injured in a fall, resulting in life threatening sepsis shock caused by an infection of the hip-joint.
Iraia has since had two emergency surgeries this week on his hip to remove the infection, and Roimata is at Iraia's hospital bed-side each day monitoring his progress.
Roimata is a solo māmā who works and studies nursing full-time whilst raising two beautiful young high-needs boys. Her oldest Son, Te Winika, still needs to attend school and be taken care of, but with Iraia in hospital fighting the infection atm and Roimata's whānau back in New Zealand, she needs some extra support at this time.
If you know Roimata, you know she is one tough cookie; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. She is fiercely driven and self-sufficient and would never do this for herself or think to ask for this type of support- but we, her friends, love her and the boys with our everything and want to help in any way possible.
We are fundraising to help Roimata with;
- Covering general living costs whilst taking unpaid time off work to be with Iraia
- Child-care fees for Te Winika
- Return flights to Brisbane for her sister to help with Te Winika
- Medicine and healthcare costs
- Kai for Roimata and the boys whilst she is off work at Hospital
- General support whilst Roimata is navigating this harrowing journey with her son.
Thank you for your generous donation which will go directly to Roimata and the boys in this time of need.
I am a one of Roimata's close friends.
