To help assist a 13yr old girl fight cancer and take some financial pressure of her parents so they can have one less thing to worry about.
Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty
Issy and her family have started what will be the hardest years of their lives. Issy and her loving family have had the unfortunate news recently that their sweet, fun loving, beautiful 13 year old Daughter Issy has got some rust (cancer) happening in her left leg.
Obviously this has a huge impact not only on Issy but her parents and younger sister Maddie, who have now had to change their lives around pretty much overnight to learn and adapt to the unpredictability of living with a child undergoing cancer treatment.
Issy has been diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a rare type of bone cancer that has been growing in her left femur. She will have to endure 7-9 months of chemotherapy to try and shrink the tumor followed by major limb saving surgery and possibly radiation treatments to avoid radical amputation.
It will take Issy 2-3 years rehabilitation if this surgery is successful, to learn to walk again. I'm wanting to spread the word so that anyone who is willing and in a position to donate financially to please help. The impact this diagnosis has had on Issy and her family, her treatments, her parent’s jobs, their living situation, younger sister's schooling and the wider family is massive.
The Greenleaf family are the epitome of a loving caring family unit and this news has obviously devastated them, friends and family and the wider Tauranga community. If you can donate – big or small then this is a call to please take action. Please Share this page.
Thank you,
Issy and Family
