    Hello to you all, dear men supporting us!!!

    The third course of chemotherapy has began on 22.05.2019. MRI to access the progress of the disease is planned to be done after that round.

    But, we still have something to rejoice: first of all, upon physical examination of Ivan our doctor was satisfied with the way Ivan's body has coped with previous rounds of chemotherapy.

    Secondly, the treatment bill of 182,000 USD in Israel's clinic Rambam is completely covered thank to endless generousity of our donors and care and kindness of our supporters!

    But this is not the end of the treatment though!

    We have 5 weeks of treatment still to go in Israel, and after this we will be referred to another clinic for next treatment: proton irradiation and chemotherapy at the same time! We are still waiting for the quotes from clinics that will agree to accept Ivan for treatment.

    The problem now arises due to a very short period (maximum is one week!!) between the last chemotherapy here in Israel and the next treatment (proton irradiation+chemotherapy)! Process of querying with the clinics is complicated due to their generally established schemes which are EITHER proton therapy OR chemotherapy as well as lots of documents to be processed.

    But we're full of hope this can be resolved soon.

  • 16.05.2019 The second round of chemotherapy is over!

    Here is the text written by Ivan's mum Oksana (in translation):

    Good morning, all our dear helpers and caring people!

    Yesterday we finished the second course of chemotherapy!! At this stage, I can't comment on any significant changes in the state of Ivan's health! But I can definitely say that every day my little fighter is stronger and stronger and he looks forward for the victory! He has matured very much... He realises and appreciates very much that all his treatment is only made possible due to caring people! I see in his eyes the glitter of faith in his recovery! Finally he started to smile again!! How much I have missed this!

    I believe he will have his rosy cheeks and hair back one day! He now laughs and jokes at the new hairstyle, says that it is more convenient to wear a cap! My boy can do everything, he will cope with this disease!

    Please do not leave us! Only because of help all of you, we are here and Ivan is undergoing the treatment in the clinic Rambam!! Our small victories have been achieved thanks to you all!!!

    Ivan still has a long way to recovery and he will need to continue treatment in another clinic, as well as a long rehabilitation period and check ups! Only thanks to you all, our supporters, we can handle it! From the bottom of my heart I want to thank each and everyone of you that you are with us !!

  • An updated estimate of the treatment

    Please see the copy of the report on the photo attached.

    The report dated 17.04.2019 states the treatment costs be 181,980 USD

    This is a very large amount that the family cannot afford. They need all of us, many many generous people who can help to make this happen.

  • 17.04.2019 Update on the treatment from the Clinical Assistant Professor

    Since this page was created, Ivan (with his parents) has arrived to Ruth Rappoport Children's Hospital, that is the part of the Rambam Health Care Campus, Haifa, Israel, on 7.04.2019.

    Please see the photo attached with the description from the Professor.

    Additional diagnostic procedures were made from 8.04.2019 - 11.04.2019 and the diagnosis was confirmed. A tumour mass is spreading largely within the skull, though at that stage no metastases were detected in bone marrow or chest.

    Because the growing tumour was compressing the optical nerve, Ivan lost the vision in his right eye from 28.03.2019.

    On the 11.04.2019 the first round of chemotherapy was started (please see the description of IVA protocol under the Methods in this article https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanonc/article/PIIS1470-2045(18)30337-1/fulltext).

    On the 17.04.2019 Ivan reported a partial improvement in his right eye vision.

    This is just the beginning, and Ivan will be receiving next several rounds of chemotherapy.

    Which then will need to be followed by the another courses of chemotherapy combined with radiotherapy, and these will need to be done in different clinic elsewhere.
