Help 15-year-old NZ longboard champion Izaro get to El Salvador to represent New Zealand at the ISA World Longboard Championships.
New Plymouth, Taranaki
At 15, Izaro Williamson Sasia is about to take another big step in her surfing journey, representing New Zealand at the 2026 ISA World Longboard Championships in El Salvador.
Izaro was just 14 when she won the NZ Open Women’s Longboard title earlier this year, as well as the U18 Junior title. Her selection for the New Zealand team is another exciting opportunity to compete internationally, learn and continue developing her pathway in longboarding.
We know many people will know that we are fortunate enough to be able to support Izaro ourselves. This isn’t about that.
It is about giving people who have followed Izaro, watched her surf or supported her along the way the opportunity to join her journey and help her pursue something she loves.
It’s also been a busy September for Izaro. She has just finished SurfAid’s Make a Wave campaign, helping raise money for mother and child health programmes in remote communities in Indonesia. After a month of helping raise money for others, she now has a couple of weeks to ask people to get behind her.
Our goal is $6,300 to help with the costs of getting to El Salvador and competing on the world stage.
If you’d like to join Izaro on this next part of her journey, we’d love to have you along for the ride.
Thank you for your support.
Funds will help cover Izaro’s travel, accommodation, training, equipment and other expenses associated with representing NZ in El Salvador.
Any funds raised above the goal will go towards her ongoing international competition and development pathway.
