A HUGE THANK YOU and an Update on the Journey to CANADA!

UPDATE: Help Jack Ride for New Zealand at the Tour de L’Abitibi

We want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported Jack.

Thanks to your generosity, we successfully reached our initial $4,500 goal, bringing him closer to representing New Zealand at the Tour de L’Abitibi in Canada (14–19 July 2026).

Training is going great, supplemented by fierce winter racing at Cycling South Canterbury.

Unfortunately, the global fuel crisis has caused significant increases in travel costs.

The airfare quote jumped from $4,500 to nearly $6,500.

The overall cost, including flights, accommodation, team costs, and race expenses, now exceeds $10,000. We have updated our fundraising goal, hoping our community can help bridge this new gap.

For those who don’t know my story, I am a Year 12 student at Mount Hutt College.

My recent cycling results include:

- 1st Tasman Classic Senior Men’s Road Race (Nelson)

- 2nd NZ Senior Men’s Age Group National Championships (Nelson)

- 10th U19 Elite Men’s Road Race National Championships (Cambridge)

Racing internationally and proudly representing New Zealand is an opportunity I am incredibly grateful for.
