Help Jaden Houghton Fight Leukemia & Win!

  • Jay's Journey Update

      13 December 2019

Jay had surgery today where he had his bone marrow tested, his pick line in his arm removed and a port-a-cath put in his chest. This port-a-cath is a catheter for Jaden to receive intravenous fluids, blood transfusions & chemotherapy. You sure are an incredible young man Jay, who had a big day today!!!

From Monday Jaden will receive daily chemotherapy treatments, including Christmas day. Jay’s upcoming chemo cycle is 5 days on, 2 days off for 5 weeks, he will then have a 2 week break before repeating this course of treatment.

So as we move around our family & friends this Christmas day lets raise a glass to Jaden and send him all our love & prayers!

Jay and his family want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Year and once again a massive thank you to you all for your love and support!

    Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Wow you are such an inspiration Jayden!... I started chemo yesterday which is not a patch on yours, just once every 3 weeks at this stage and I thought about how brave you are at such a young age, truely amazing!

Thoughts and prayers to your family also because this stuff is hard ❤️

  • A massive thank you to you all !!

It is incredible the generosity Jayden has received in the form of funds, gifts, love & support. There are simply not enough words to say thank you!

To Marist Harewood Cricket Club thank you for your fundraising evening last Friday. To St Bede’s College, to past & present students, to families & individuals, strangers & friends we can not thank you enough for your selfless donations in support of Jay. You are all amassing people whom Jay & his family are extremely grateful for!

Jayden is at the beginning of his journey and he is handling it just like the strong, fine young man he is!!

Keep it up Jay, we're counting on ya buddy!!!!

As we all know Chemo has nasty side effects and Jay’s treatment is no exception. Jay’s hair has begun to fall out so last night Jay had his good mate Bae shave his head & his Father Justin finish it off while Janine his proud Mum & I watched on.

I wanted to share this moment with you all to show you Jay’s spirit, his infectious smile and his continuous resilience and fight against this wicked disease.

Every day we see your beautiful face Jay, not your cancer and every day you continue to make us all so proud!!!

Keep paving your way forward sweetheart, this will not define you!!!!

    You’ve got this Jay!!!!!

Check out the gallery on Jay's Givealittle page for some more cool pics of last night..
