Helping Janaka Silva and his family through an unexpected medical crisis by easing the financial burden as he fights for his recovery.
Support Janaka Silva and his family in their time of need
Janaka, a 48 yr old Sri Lankan, living here in Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand, tragically faced a medical emergency a few days ago. He collapsed unexpectedly and went into two cardiac arrests, one which lasted a whole of 10 minutes. Later doctors confirmed he had a raptured aneurysm and performed a 6-hour brain surgery to save him. He is currently in the Intesive Care Unit, getting by fed through tubes and breathing through machines, still fighting for his life.
Janaka is father to three kids, 10 yr old daughter and two teenage sons who reside in Sri Lanaka with his wife. Many know Janaka is compassionate and incredibly generous; he always puts needs of others before his own.
Due to severe brain damage, Janaka’s road to recovery is long and challenging. When he will be able to return to his normal life and provide for his family is uncertain.
Any contribution, no matter how big or small is beyond appreciated and will support him and his family during these challenging times. If you are unable to contribute, please keep Janaka in your prayers for a healthy and speedy recovery, so he can return to his beloved wife and children.
We are friend of Janaka and a members of the Sri Lankan community, raising funds to support him and his family during this difficult time.
The funds raised will help cover Janaka's ongoing medical and rehabilitation expenses, support his family's daily living costs, and ease the financial burden while he is unable to work during his recovery.
