Jango Update
18 February 2022Hi Everyone, Hayley here.
We had a biopsy done for Jango 2 weeks ago to work out exactly where we are at and to formulate the best plan moving forward.
As the drug was a trial, the vets were already gobsmacked at how well the treatment was shrinking/had shrunk the tumour and we were just thrilled to be in that position!
We got results back on Friday last week.
It was an incredibly anxious week awaiting the results while we expected to hear just how many remaining cancerous cells there were.
After some miscommunication from the vets and a few calls by myself requesting the results, we got the call we were waiting for.
Although it wasn’t the news we expected!
Jango now has no abnormal cells in his jaw area at all!
The Palladia has completely killed the cancer.
I had to ask the vet if she was sure a few times as I couldn’t believe what I was hearing!
This result has been seen in 1% of dogs overseas who received Palladia treatment AFTER surgery to remove a tumour, NOT for palliative care.
It truely is a real miracle! Let’s just say I ugly cried ALL weekend with happiness!
THANK YOU to you all just doesn’t really seem to cut it! Because of you all, it was possible to continue with his treatment and get to the point of surgery to formulate the best plan moving forward! The results are everything we could have hoped for and more!
THANK YOU for your kindness, your time and your love! It truely will never be forgotten!
Much love from our family!
Hayley, Andy, Beau and Jango Xo
