Dad had a CT Scan last week and his fourth treatment on Friday. At the appointment on Friday we received positive news from the Oncologist - everything has shrunk and the Immunotherapy is working!
While there will not be a cure, we can confirm that immunotherapy will give us more precious time with Dad.

Apologies for the delay in an update, paper work takes time with ACC, and we had to appeal their decision as Dad was originally declined care. Treatment is available publicly, but Dad is yet to even have an appointment with an Oncologist at SDHB let alone start treatment, hence our appeal. Thankfully, Dad has just had his fourth treatment Privately.
Our appeal was successful and ACC have now approved ongoing care privately! We will close the page now as ongoing costs are covered by ACC.
This Give a Little funding really made an unbelievable difference to Dad and our family. It meant we could get testing and treatment started urgently and follow his Oncologists recommendations. This has made a huge difference for Dads prognosis and his estimated length of life.
We could not have managed this without all of your generous support and kindness - a huge heartfelt thanks from us all. Words are not sufficient to convey what a difference this made.
Thanks so all of you wonderfull people we have enough to forge ahead and get urgent treatment started. Starting this quickly will make such a difference. Dads booked in for his first infusion this Thursday.
Oh my gosh, we are so overwhelmed with the response we have had guys.
