John is now the face of workplace bullying culture within the NZ Police, and needs help to fund the possibility of legal action against him.
Wellington
My husband John has recently spoken up against bullying and subsequent culture that is and has been prolific within the NZ Police. The general public need to know what this culture has been and still is like today.
John, who is an incredibly loyal man, who has the utmost integrity and respect, always saw and see's the good in everyone. He is standing up against this culture and has now become the face of the workplace bullying issue within the Police.
Because John has spoken up, the threat of legal action has been made in writing and in public against him by the NZ Police, which we are taking seriously and would love the country to get in behind.
We are happy to take on this battle and do the right thing, however it is a "David v's Goliath" battle against an organisation that has unlimited resources and tax payer funded legal teams.
John devoted nearly 14 years to the NZ Police, of which he excelled by becoming not only a member of the Armed Offenders Squad, an elite group to get into, but also as a member of the Diplomatic Protection Squad.
John was awarded a bravery award in 2015 for his actions in arresting a murderer on the West Coast of the South Island.
John had been the subject of systematic and sustained workplace bullying within his time in the NZ Police, which is incomprehensible. There is so much more to this story that has even made me extremely upset that someone of John's incredible nature and integrity, could be subjected to so much of this bullying that he went through in his time in the Police.
The money will help go a long way in legal fees and associated cost of legal action, in either of defense of the Police's recent threats or making Police accountable for the bullying behavior. If no legal action is taken, the funds will be split evenly between Cancer Society, Hospice Taranaki, Stroke Foundation NZ, and SPCA.
