I saw it mention in your givealittle page that you have health insurance and that you spent quite a bit of time in ED (over three nights etc)

There can be a benefit in medical insurance wordings called a Public Hospital Cash Grant. Please check your wording and see if it is there?

You might be able to make some additional claims under your private medical cover for your time spent in public hospital resulting in a cash payout which could be of benefit to you at this time.
