Help Kamal Take Deep Home to India

Kamal and Paradeep, lovingly known as Deep, were newly married in December 2025. Kamal moved from India to New Zealand just 6 months ago to begin her married life with her husband. She was only just starting to settle into life here and build a future with Deep.

Tragically, Deep passed away in a horrific accident today. He had come to New Zealand 3 years ago and was working hard to build a better future for himself and his family. Kamal is only 29 years old and is now alone in New Zealand, with no income or source of funds to manage this heartbreaking situation.

Their married life had only just begun. Kamal had barely had the time to make memories with her husband before her future was suddenly taken away. She now needs urgent help to take Deep’s body back home to India, so his family can see him one last time and perform his final rites.

Deep’s mother in India is paralysed, and his father is elderly. His family is facing unimaginable grief and urgently needs support. Funds raised will help cover the repatriation costs to India, Kamal’s flights, and support for Kamal and Deep’s family during this extremely difficult time.

ACC May provide some assistance but this will not cover everything.
