Help a daughter to cover the hospital costs for her father.
Bay of Plenty
My family friend’s father (Mr. Bala Datt Bawari) is holding a visitor visa in New Zealand. He was supposed to fly back to India in March and had his tickets booked. Then due to COVID-19 border restrictions, he could not travel. Suddenly, on 14th July he had breathing problem and had to be admitted in ICU at Rotorua hospital (Diagnosis: pleural effusion)
He is currently fighting for his life and each day the hospital costs is adding lot of pressure on this young family.
Kanchan came from India to study here and her husband Tara Chandra Joshi is currently on work visa. Their son Dhruv who is 7 years old is with them and they are not in a position to shoulder this big unexpected cost.
The average cost per day is around NZ$4000 and they are not sure how long or is there a road to recovery)
We know this is a tough time for many due to COVID-19, your act of kindness by donating any amount will mean the world to this family.
Helping a very close family friend that needs our help.
Hospital and recovery cost.
Update 5 August 2020
Thanks for supporting us in this time of difficulty. It's because of your generosity and standing tall with us that we are able to withstand in these times. Wanted to update on my father's health. He has been discharged from hospital day before yesterday afternoon with improved state. However, we are advised to do some medical tests during this week from a local pathlab and see a GP in our area as a follow-up. The previous bill as we updated earlier was of NZD 23,015 that because of your generosity we were able to pay off NZD 6000. The new bill for the present admission and treatment in the hospital came to be NZD 16,549. We are in need of your continued help and support to pay off these bills as they are beyond our reach.
