  • CI Assessment First Parts

    On Friday 12 September I had appointments at SCIP with an audiologist and a rehabilitationist. On the face of it I am not a candidate here in NZ. However, they will have a meeting and talk with my ENT and Triton Hewrinf audiologist as I continue to be a bit of a medical puzzle. In my left ear, the ear that would get the implant, my hearing was where it was expected to be but my ability to pick up speech in that ear was very poor. But it seems I would be better off getting it all done in Melbourne, Australia anyway and was told as such by the rehabilitationist who wears dual implants herself.

  • CI assessment appointments

    I have upcoming appointments with SCIP Friday 12th September. It will be a long day with long double appointments with Audiologist and Rehabilitationist. Then I will have an appointment with the ENT on October 14th. Thank you to everyone for the help. It is very much appreciated and helps a lot.
