Help Kayden Get to Barcelona

Rotorua, Bay Of Plenty

Hi everyone

We’re reaching out to ask for your support in helping our 9-year-old son Kayden achieve an incredible opportunity.

Kayden has been given the chance to attend a prestigious Barça Academy Clinic, this experience would give him the opportunity to train with top coaches in Barcelona, immerse himself in the city’s culture, & train at the official Barça headquarters, where the first team prepares. Teaching him the Barcelona methodology that would allow him to further develop his technical & tactical skills at an international football level on a global stage.

Kayden has is passionate about football & has shown real dedication, commitment, & love for the sport. It’s an opportunity that could help shape his future both in football and as a young person.

As exciting as this is, the costs involved are significant. We are doing everything we can as a family to make this happen, including fundraising events and personal contributions, but we would truly appreciate any support from anyone that would like to help our sons dream become a reality

Every donation, no matter how big or small will go directly towards helping Kayden take this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much to us.

Thank you so much for your support in Kayden’s journey. Stay updated on his journey, click on the link & follow his Facebook page

Many thanks,

The Petersen Family

Every session. Every touch. Every drill. Kayden is putting in the work behind the dream.  10 May 2026

This journey to FC Barcelona isn’t just about talent, it’s about commitment, discipline, creativity, and learning the game the right way.

The FC Barcelona methodology is built around technical skill, quick decision making, movement, vision, and playing with confidence and intelligence. These are the same areas Kayden is working hard on every single week.

For a 9-year-old, this opportunity is massive, not only to train at one of the world’s most respected football environments, but to grow as a player and person alongside other young footballers from around the world.

Thank you to everyone supporting, sharing, donating, and backing Kayden’s dream. Every bit of support is helping turn this opportunity into reality. ❤️💙

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
