I came to Aotearoa New Zealand from the United States with my wife, who is a NZ citizen, while she was pregnant with our first child. From the beginning, our plan was clear: to settle down in NZ and raise our family here, surrounded by her family, the natural beauty of this country, and the values we both believe in.

Since then, our baby boy has arrived, and that dream has only grown stronger. NZ already feels like home, not just for us, but for the future we want to build together. We've put down roots, I've embraced the culture, and found real community here.

But despite everything, staying here isn’t simple. Applying for residency is a complex and expensive process, and as much as we wish we could cover it ourselves, the legal and immigration costs are more than we can manage alone right now.
