Help keep Circus Kumarani afloat!

$4,653 of $50,000 goal
Given by 21 generous donors in 8 weeks

Support Aotearoa's longest running rural circus to thrive in Northland. Kumarani needs your help to continue giving back to our communities.

Dargaville, Northland

Circus Kumarani is the local community circus for Te Tai Tokerau (Northland). We’ve been bringing joy, laughter, and entertainment to schools, communities, and whānau for over 20 years. Over this time we’ve done our best to include and encourage everyone, of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to give circus skills a go - and we have loved every minute of it!

Behind the scenes, our staff and volunteers consistently go above and beyond to give their skills, time, and energy to help keep the circus alive. We do so with pride, as we love sharing this beautiful and welcoming art form with you. Unfortunately, with reduced funding and the cost of living crisis, it’s getting harder to continue sustainably.

To keep on sharing circus with you - we need your help.

The funds raised from this campaign will go directly back into the circus and local communities we love and support. If we hit our target, we’ll be able to continue to attend and run amazing community events, support our team of creative artists and students, and celebrate our 21st Birthday in July without having to worry about what the future holds!

We understand times are tough and beyond money, we’re open to receiving support in whatever ways you’re able to do so - like sharing this fundraiser or booking us for events.

There are also options on our website to donate directly or to sponsor a child’s classes for a term.

As a charitable trust, all donations are tax deductible.

About us

A community-based organisation using circus, creativity and social arts to promote wellness and build connections

Use of funds

With an increasingly difficult grant funding environment, we are expecting a shortfall of around $50,000. We are seeking support so we can continue to operate while we develop new income streams such as events, activities, and sponsorships.
