7 Kiwis - Heading to Oklahoma to represent New Zealand at the World Axe Throwing Championships

We will be attending the World Axe Throwing and World Knife Throwing Leagues' World Championship April 18-21 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.! We will be representing our local venue Sweet Axe Throwing Wellington , and we will be proud to represent at this premier televised on ESPN event!
This will mark the 7th World Axe Throwing Championship and the 3rd World Knife Throwing Championship. Over 380 throwers from all over the world will be battling it out for the title of champion in 4 different disciplines. The finalists will compete on ESPN and vie for a part of the $60,000 USD prize pool!
Unfortunately this is a self funded sport so we need all the support we can get to attend.
The team:
Kent: is Wellington based and has been to Worlds before. This year he has qualified in all three disciplines, Big Axe, Duals and Hatchet
Antione: is Wellington based. This year he has qualified in to compete in the Duals discipline
Sarah: is Wellington based. This year she has qualified in to compete in the Duals discipline
John: is Wellington based. This year he has qualified in to compete in the Hatchet and Big axe disciplines
Brittany: is Auckland based. This year she has qualified in to compete in the Hatchet and Big Axe disciplines
Lana: is Auckland based. This year she has qualified in to compete in the Hatchet and Big Axe disciplines
Michelle: is Wellington based. This year she has qualified in to compete in the Duals discipline

Come and Throw with a Pro! 16 February 2024
We're hosting a throw with a pro event in Auckland & Wellington- you'll learn to throw an axe from one of our throwers who's qualified for the World Axe Throwing Championships!
When: 15th March at 6pm
How Much: $35 per person and the proceeds go toward funding travel to compete at the World Axe Throwing Championships in Tulsa Ohio!
