Help Laura Attend a Chronic Illness Recovery Course

Hey friends!

As you probably know, I've had endometriosis and chronic pain for the last 12 years. I've had two surgeries and I haven't had seen any progress in my pain levels. I've tried various diets, supplements and exercise regimes with my doctor and haven't seen my pain decrease from these interventions. It's very intrusive to my lifestyle and I have had to take many days off work and study this year. I just finished uni and am hoping to work full-time to contribute to my wedding and getting a house with Ben.

This year has been pretty disheartening and I'm feeling worried about my health and energy levels for these goals.

My great friend Nicky told me about a course called 'The Switch' by Emerge Therapies. It challenges your stress responses, difficult emotions, lifestyle patterns and beliefs around your illness. The goal is to create new neuro-pathways around the way we think about pain. They have seen huge improvements and successes in their clients.

The course costs $1500 and is in Auckland so there will be flights and accommodation costs on top of that. I currently am unemployed and looking for work to save towards this. But I thought I'd ask for some help!
