Help Lay My Dad to Rest

Kia ora whānau, friends, and kind-hearted supporters,

My name is Te Ahu, and I’m fundraising to lay my father to rest in his true home — Te Toke Reporoa

After living many years in Christchurch, my dad sadly passed away in Blenheim hospital car park while waiting for my mother, who was having her gallbladder removed.

Our whānau’s wish is to return him to Te Toke Repora so he can be buried where he truly belongs, surrounded by whenua, whakapapa, and whānau.

We are planning his burial for September 23rd 2026, giving us time to prepare and honour his life properly but the costs of transport, accommodation and burial are more than I can manage alone.
