Help Lee achieve her dream of studying in Japan as an exchange student!

Hi, I'm Lee!

I am currently a full-time student at ARA Institute of Technology (formerly CPIT), studying a Bachelor's Degree in Japanese Language and Culture. It has been my dream for many years to be able to study abroad in Japan and finally after years of waiting I am finally eligible to go on a university exchange and have been offered a chance to study abroad in Kyoto for five months in 2018!

Studying as an exchange student in Japan will be a life-changing experience for me. Since I will be fully immersed in a foreign country where not many people speak English, this exchange will allow me to study alongside my Japanese peers and provide me with many challenges and force me to use my Japanese which will further increase my skills and confidence with Japanese language and culture. It will provide me with opportunities to make life-long relationships with people in Japan that could benefit me later in life and will provide me with an international experience which I can then bring back to and share with New Zealand, which in return will help me to achieve the rest of my degree.

This exchange opportunity, however, does have to be fully funded by the individual going and for me to be able to go, I would need to have around $8000NZD. Of course, I will be working as hard as possible my part-time job to try and save as much money as I can on my own, but I will not be able to raise the amount needed without your help.

Being able to study in Japan would be a dream come true. I will not be offered an opportunity like this again as it is only offered to second-year students. I would be eternally grateful if anyone thought that helping me with my education and to achieve one of my dreams was worth giving too. I promise you, every single donation is seen and appreciated more than I can express.
