Kia ora whānau! Thankyou for being apart of our journey, for your support and generosity. We truly and gratefully appreciate you all. It has been 11 days since being admitted to Auckland Hospital. 5 weeks ago the mass was just giving my spinal cord a Hi-5 now its giving it a good bear hug. My T1 is fractured so I'm sporting a new piece of jewellery for the foreseeable future sadly no bungy for me. I'm currently finishing off my first round of FLOT chemo. Potential for 12 cycles but that depends on rescans. No cure but got to give everything ago. I'm looking forward to going home tomorrow to hang with my boy, embrace him and just be present hear him laugh and watch him play. Then we can start getting somethings together in between these restrictions. Once again thankyou all xoxo Les

An update for you all on how Les is going. Initial plan was for Les to start Chemo 5 days ago but unfortunately it has not gone ahead.

She was admitted to hospital due to a change in symptoms last Wednesday and is currently still in Auckland city hospital awaiting further instructions from Radiologists and Oncologists.

Essentially the mass has gotten more intimate with her spinal cord and if it continues to grow she will start to lose function from her arms down. A bloody hard thing to consider especially for someone so active and outdoorsy as she is. This mass better calm it's farm soon!

Les had a busy weekend of visitors which has been great for her as we all know she loves being around people and wants everyone to remember her as that fun, happy go lucky person that she is and definitely not poorly.

Also Les's best friend Rawinia has been acting as her personal assistant keeping a caring eye on her and managing visitors around Les's energy levels and specialist appointments etc.

Les also got to see her boy Karaitiana yesterday so was over the moon she got to spend some time with him.

Les still looks fine and is "sound in the mind" so can continue to take the piss out of everyone, give some hard truths or be your counselor if you need.

Les also said she's over talking about herself as she's literally been doing that over the last six weeks.

She appreciates all the aroha and tautoko she has been receiving from everyone and wanted to share a pic from her photo shoot the Tuesday before she was admitted to hospital.

Thank you again for your contributions and support towards Les and her whanau, again it is extremely appreciated.
