Indie's fighting Ewing sarcoma, a rare bone cancer. Help support this gorgeous two year old and her family through 10+ months of treatment.
Auckland
Indie's a special little two-year-old. She's kind and generous, full of joy, loves to play, sing, go on adventures and is adored by everyone around her, including her big brother Freddie.
Several weeks ago her family's world turned upside down when she was diagnosed with a large Ewing sarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer that's growing from her rib and filling half of her chest cavity.
The news was heartbreaking. She started treatment at Starship within days of the diagnosis and over the last month has been braver than any two-year-old should have to be. She's now come through her first three rounds.
There's a long road ahead for Indie. She's undergoing intensive chemotherapy every two weeks for the next ten months, as well as major surgery and radiotherapy.
For her parents, life has changed overnight. Their focus is now on supporting Indie through her treatment, whilst ensuring Freddie still gets to be a normal four-year-old.
Due to Indie's intensive treatment, Steff is unable to work, adding financial pressure at an already incredibly difficult time.
So many people have reached out asking how they can help, and we've created this page as a way for all of us to wrap love around this beautiful family.
If you're able to contribute, thank you so much. Otherwise sharing this page and sending your love means the world to them.
We can't wait to see Indie healthy again, back to being her gorgeous fun-loving self, lighting up every room she enters 🩷
