    The budget to build Loretta's home has been confirmed, hence the amount has been updated to reflect this exact amount.

    Every single cost, down to each and every nail, has now been costed. Designs have been drawn up and are now finalised.

    For complete transperancy please find attached the exact budget (please note this is in Solomon Islands Dollars so the amount in New Zealand Dollars is set to allow for changes + the 5% taken by Givealittle).

    This budget was prepared by Maeverlyn Pitanoe, a UXO survivor and founder of Bomb Free Solomon Islands (a local registered charity). Maeverlyn is a highly respected community leader who lives in Honiara and holds a Masters in Education. She is in constant contact with Loretta and understands her exact needs.

    Funds are sent from Nine Islands Media (which takes no money at all) directly to Maeverlyn Pitanoe who is project manager of the build. The region's most respected and most experienced journalists, Dorothy Wickham, holds additional oversight over how the funds are administered.

    Maeverlyn Pitanoe is paid approx $958 New Zealand Dollars to manage the build - a cost line which is included in the budget.
