Hi everyone, we meet the gorgeous Murphy yesterday for the first time. He is the most gorgeous little guy ever and is proving to be an ideal nature to train for therapy/emotional support. We are getting so close to our target now and really appreciate any support you and your friends and family can give.

We have some raffles being drawn on Saturday night with all the money raised going straight towards Murphy and his training. Please head over to our Facebook page for more details.

Please share our story and Facebook page with your friends.

Lucas has had his case reviewed by 3D services here in Tauranga who passed his case on to MICAMHS (mental health services), I heard from them today and they believe that Lucas is showing a lot more tendencies of Autism Spectrum Disorder so they are referring us on to the hospital to be assessed there. Even though we are being passed from person to person I feel like we are finally getting somewhere.

  • Trip to the beach

Let me start by thanking everyone again for their amazing generosity, it is days like today where I realise just how amazing people can be.

We had a rough start to our day today, the kids decided they wanted to go to the beach so we packed up the car and off we went (Dad is working today so it was just me and the kids).

We were having a great time, Emily and I in the water and Lucas climbing the rocks (we’ve not yet managed to get him more than ankle deep).

Lucas decided he wanted to try coming in the water but unfortunately he had a panic attack when the waves got bigger and a lot of sand was sucked out from under his feet. He flipped out so much and actually ran away, he’s never gone from my sight before and today he ran right off the beach and down the grass path. Panic stations from me because I also had Emily to look after. Thankfully I found him quickly but my heart was certainly racing!

Hopefully once we have the therapy dog with us situations like this won’t happen because he’ll be able to stay grounded with his dog.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has donated today since seeing our story. There have been so many people who I don't know so can't personally thank but I know that this message will reach them. We have one very excited little boy who is well on his way to having his dream come true. Thank you so very much!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us this week, it means the world to us. We met with Kiwi Pride and reporters today, they will be publishing our story next Thursday. Lucas was an absolute star and had some great photos taken with Celebrity, Lucas was so calm and relaxed around her and it was great to see his wall of anxiety come down and watch his body melt and relax in to her. He also met a gorgeous puppy in training called Rosie that just melted his heart. Raising the funds to get a therapy dog for Lucas is going to change his world and our world.
