    Dear Donators,

You have given a little, but it was not a little to me and my two kids. I was able to manage the funeral of my beloved husband and all other immediate expenses. Also, I was able to manage all the day-to-day expenses, especially the needs of my two kids at this unexpected and sorrowful situation. The collection of the "give a little" gave me an additional strength to be resilient with loss of my my husband even before settling in New Zealand. Please accept my sincere gratitude for your contribution.

    Thank you

    Regards

    Vinodi Abeysinghe

Yugath Madusanka, the loving husband of Vinodi, died of a sudden heart attack on 9th September 2023. After trying for almost one hour to save his life by the St Johns staff, they announced that Madusanka had passed away on the spot. Madusanka was a loving husband and a father to his two children, a 9-year-old son, Mesandu and a 5-year-old daughter, Pesandi. He had to say goodbye unexpectedly to his young family with many cherished memories. However, they are not in a strong position financially. Vinodi is restricted to working 20 hrs. She will be eligible to work full-time after two months upon completing her course. She came to New Zealand, leaving everything in Sri Lanka to build a stable future for her children and Madusanka. NOW, Vinodi is left alone to bring up their two young children herself and DESPERATELY looking for financial help and your prayers urgently. We kindly request you help her in this utterly difficult situation towards funeral costs, repatriation of Madusanka’s remains, school costs for children, accommodation, travelling and food costs, and their other needs until Vinodi can find a way out after finishing her full-time studies.

Being a single mum raising two young children is challenging. Vinodi is determined to face this tough time, and it is understood that she desperately needs our support, our shoulders to lean on, and our comforting words and generous donations to help them through this extremely difficult time,c at least for the next six months.
