Help Mahmoud and his family to rebuild their lives again

I am Mahmoud from Gaza, a university graduate. I did not have any job opportunities in Gaza, so I decided to search for my future and achieve my dreams and ambitions by traveling outside Gaza. I packed my bags and prepared myself to leave.

But the winds come with what the ships do not desire

On the day I was scheduled to travel, the damned war came and changed all my plans

My family has suffered unimaginable hardships

My family was forced to leave their home and flee from it under the weight of violent and continuous bombardment. They became displaced and uprooted from every place they knew before. Now we live in a tent in a camp for the displaced in the south of the Gaza Strip.

The bombing forced us to move several times. The harsh winter conditions make the situation worse. The environment in which we live is very bad. We have moved to live in a tent that lacks the minimum necessities of life. We also suffer from extreme cold at night and high heat during the day, in addition to the presence of insects and reptiles that we cannot sleep for fear of.

Our lives have been turned upside down, as each day brings new challenges and obstacles. Our concern has become securing access to potable water and carrying it from long distances, as well as searching for and collecting firewood to light a fire to cook food, due to the lack of gas, and if it is available, it is at exorbitant prices.
