🐾 An update on our beautiful Mak 🐾

I’m so happy to share that Mak’s surgery was a success. He is being such a good boy through his rehab and recovery, ticking all the boxes and doing so well. I couldn’t be prouder of him.
I’m already seeing such a huge difference. Before surgery, it could take Mak up to 45 minutes to eat. Now he’s eating his meals in around 5 minutes!
That might sound like a small thing, but for Mak it’s life-changing. Watching him eat without the struggle he had before is incredibly emotional.
There is still more to come. His canine tooth needs to be removed, as it has caused an oronasal fistula, and he will also need a dental clean-up.
I would like to thank Dr. Crystal Loh BSc DVM MANZCVS DAVDC New Zealand Veterinary Dentistry for getting behind Mak and myself and acknowledge the important involvement of Dr. Boaz Arzi, DVM, DAVDC, DEVDC, FF-AVDC-OMFS Professor of Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery at UC Davis in California. Without their knowledge, care and determination, I would never have got to the point of Mak receiving this life-changing surgery. I am so grateful they gave him this chance.
To everyone who supported Mak through Givealittle — thank you from the bottom of my heart. Every donation, share, message and kind word helped me get him here. There’s still a little way to go, but seeing Mak eating comfortably and recovering so well makes everything worthwhile.
He’s finally getting the chance to live a much easier life.
