Help Maricel Fight Thyroid Cancer

Hi, my name is Myrna, and I’m raising funds for my dear friend, Maricel.

Maricel is a devoted single mother to her 13-year-old son, Zack, and the eldest in her family. She left the Philippines to work as a dairy farmer in New Zealand, sacrificing years apart from her son so she could build a better future for him. Through hard work and determination, she became a New Zealand resident and was finally able to bring Zack to live with her.

Then, life took an unexpected turn when Maricel was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

Despite surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and ongoing treatments, she continues to face each day with courage and a smile. She has fought this battle quietly, never wanting to burden anyone or ask for help.

Sadly, not all of her therapies and medications are funded, and the financial strain has become overwhelming. She’s now considering stopping some of her treatments because she simply can’t afford them.

As her friend, I couldn’t stand by and watch her give up because of finances.
