Every bit counts to help Marley-Jade and her family
What started off as a trip to the hospital being admitted for a chest infection turned into a whirlwind two months of chaos.
On Friday 7th June 4 year old Marley-Jade was admitted into hospital after showing cold/flu like symptoms earlier within the week. After blood test x-rays and observations done overnight we were told Saturday morning she has pneumonia but also the Dr suspects cancer in her blood. Saturday afternoon they travelled via Life flight to Christchurch Hospital to the children’s hematology oncology unit and had further testing done. On Monday 10th of June, they received the devastating news that Marley-Jade has been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Marle-Jade is a strong and brave girl, who lights up any room with her gorgeous smile. She has been getting through the long days and early mornings for treatment, and whilst at times some days have been a lot harder than others, she still has the energy to be bubbly and cheeky by the end of it.
This Page has been set up to help support Naomi and Junior ease financial stress while they are taking care of their girl.
For those that personally know Naomi and Junior, we understand that hearing this kind of news is overwhelming and you may feel an obligation to reach out to them. We kindly ask at this time to respect their privacy but if you’d like to reach out, to message Paige Tiatia who is their right hand lady for communication.
