Raising funds to help my mum navigate the most difficult time of her life
Timaru, Canterbury
My mum, Genene Lamoure, came to visit me in New Zealand from South Africa for 6 month to help myself and my husband with the kids as we have no other family here.
We were having a normal evening when my mum received a call saying my baby brother of 22 has committed suicide at his residence at campus on University, in South Africa. We don’t know where to start but we know we need money and my mum isn’t currently working as she has come over to help us and we don’t have any disposable money to draw from.
All I know is that I don’t want my mum to worry about money as it is enough loosing your only son at 22 after no signs or indication was given to him doing this. It doesn’t feel real. I want him to call me and tell me it was all a misunderstanding.
I need to fly to South Africa to even attend his funeral and all the other costs involved in getting him buried.
If you are from South Africa and you want to donate please contact me via my Facebook and I can provide my mums SA bank account details.
Please help my mum to burry her baby boy
She is my mum.
Money will be spent on funeral costs and getting to the funeral to be there for my mum and family.
Thank you 17 May 2024
We have raised enough money to cover of Caleb’s funeral and memorial expenses. I just want to thank everyone who donated, it means so much to me and my family.
Caleb had his burial yesterday and the family has had some peace. We can now start grieving.
Thank you for all the prayers as well ❤️
The money hasn’t been paid out yet but once it does it will all be put towards the costs left to cover, the rest has been paid out of our pockets 🙂
Thank you Jessie
