Help Me Make History For Samoa At The 2026 Commonwealth Games

Talofa Lava and hello everyone,

My name is Danielle Domonique Holland, and I am honoured to have been selected to represent Samoa at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

This selection carries special significance, as I will become the first female boxer in Samoa’s history to compete at a Commonwealth Games.

Born and raised in New Zealand, I proudly hold Samoan citizenship and carry strong family connections through the Stowers family name, with roots in Magia, Upolu, and historically Lano, Savai’i.

Boxing has been a huge part of my life for many years and has taught me discipline, resilience and perseverance. Over the years, I have had the privilege of becoming a multiple New Zealand National Champion and competing at a high level of amateur boxing.

Representing Samoa at the Commonwealth Games is one of the proudest moments of my life. I hope this journey helps inspire future generations of Samoan female athletes to believe that anything is possible.

While Team Samoa covers official Games travel and accommodation, there are still significant costs involved in preparing to compete at the highest level.
