Walking the length of nz to fundraise for mental health
Waikato
Hi, I’m Jack. This September, I’m setting off on the Te Araroa Trail—a 3,000 km walk from Cape Reinga to Bluff—to raise money and awareness for youth mental health in Aotearoa.
I will be keeping everyone updated via YouTube, you can find the link below.
Why I’m Walking
Too many young Kiwis are struggling in silence. I’m walking to support I Am Hope and their Gumboot Friday initiative, which funds free counselling for young people aged 5–25. No waitlists, no cost—just help when it’s needed most.
Why It Matters to Me
Mental health has touched my life and the lives of people I love. This walk is my way of giving back—to honour those stories, and to help others write better ones.
How You Can Help
All donations go directly to I Am Hope in support of Gumboot Friday. Every dollar means more young people can access the support they deserve. No amount is too small, and every step I take will be fuelled by your generosity.
Follow the Journey
I’ll be posting updates from the trail so you can see the difference you’re making, one step at a time.
This money will be going towards the I am hope foundation
