Hi, my name is Lucas Heggie, and I’m a 19 year old beach volleyball player from New Plymouth, currently representing New Zealand internationally. I’m pursuing a professional career in beach volleyball and working toward competing consistently at the highest level.
Chasing this goal has come with significant sacrifice. At 18, I moved away from home to Tauranga to train in a high-performance environment and fully commit to my development as an athlete. That decision has opened the door to incredible opportunities, including competing overseas on the beach world pro tour.
While it’s an honour to wear the silver fern, international competition comes with major travel and accommodation costs. Your support will go directly toward helping cover these expenses and allow me to continue representing New Zealand on the world stage.
